In the interest of full disclosure — I am not a beer girl. I mean, I am and I’m not. For the most part I stick with my You-Name-It-Lights and really can’t drink more than one before my belly feels like it’s going to burst with bubbles. BUT, on the rare occasion I find a real, full-bodied beer I actually like, enjoy, and want to pair with food — like Anchor Brewing’s Anchor California Lager — well, that’s something to celebrate. So today I say, Cheers to Beer!

But when fernet enthusiasts Max Rudsten and Ben Flanjnik (winemaker and star of ABC’s 16th season of The Bachelor) had a Coachella-chance encounter, a true Northern California blend was created, exemplifying the collaboration of California’s fresh produce and “the spirit of San Francisco.”

Event: Fremont Burger & Brews
Overcast clouds and a bit of rain didn’t stop the Bay Area from some big bites at Fremont’s Burger & Brew Fest last Saturday.
Fremont’s city hub closed it’s street to celebrate local cuisines and California craft brews. For $35, guests were allotted 10 5-ounce tasting pours — that’s 50 ounces of brewski! — and with reps presenting anywhere between 2 to 8 beers each, there was definitely something to please every palate.
